Library
The library has a variety of stock items including books, magazines, DVD's, CD's, puzzles, toys and computer games.
The Thargomindah Library receives new and different titles each quarter to ensure that library stock is up-to-date. Internet is also available at the library for the public.
Parks
The Memorial Park is in the town centre and has a 2 burner BBQ, playground for the kids and undercover seating.
Community Centre
The Community Centre has a well equipped gym, tennis courts and squash courts for those with fitness in mind, as well as computer and internet access for people wanting to check emails.

Swimming Pool
Thargomindah has a 25 meter partially shaded pool, plus a shaded toddler's pool. The swimming pool offers a great range of activities like learn to swim classes (for children 6mths - 13yrs) and aqua aerobics classes.

River Walk
The River Walk takes you on a scenic walk along the Bulloo River. Along the way, seating and exercise bars have been set up.
Hydro Walk
The Hydro Walk begins in town and proceeds to follow a route parallel to the road leading out of town: past the new Town Bore and finishing at the Hydro Power Plant Display.
Golf Club
Thargomindah has a 9 hole golf course with sand greens available to the public, located just 3km outside of town.
Camping
There is limited camping permitted on the Bulloo River. This can be found between the bridges when you are heading from Thargomindah to Cunnamulla boasting over 8 hectares of river frontage with fire pits, solar lights and bins provided you are sure to find that perfect spot to set up camp and put your feet up. Please note there is no camping at Pelican Point.
Camping is also available at the Explorers Caravan Park, Kilcowera Station, Hungerford, Currawinya National Park, Noccundra, Cameron Corner and the Dig Tree.

Along the Bulloo River at Thargomindah there are many water holes where you can cast a line or toss in a yabby pot.
